Happy Birthday, Joe Russo!

From Duane Smith, our local alumni band coordinator:

We got a last minute request last week for our alumni band to play at a 90th birthday party.

The family of Joe Russo held their birthday celebration at Walton Hills Lake (near Bedford) with about 50 in attendance. My contact came in from California & in her attempts to find a band had a suggestion from another family member in Columbus to have the OSU Alumni Band. TBDBITL in Columbus passed along my name & phone#.

Any way, that’s the short version.

On such short notice, I was still able to assemble a band of six along with our own ‘Brutus.’ In return for our performance, a donation of $400 was made to our Scholarship Fund.

It’s nice to have fans that want to include us in the special events.

Football Saturdays: Gamewatch

Fox & Hound
8735 Day Drive
Parma

If you’re looking for a place to watch the game with legions of Buckeye faithful, this is the place. The Fox & Hound near Parmatown is throwing out the welcome mat for Buckeye fans — decorations, food and drink specials, a separate room, and, of course, a great game! If you don’t have tickets, join your fellow Buckeyes there.

Take I-480 to the Ridge Road exit, turn south on Ridge toward Parma. Turn right on Day Drive. Turn left on Ames. Go past the service station and restaurant, then turn left into the shopping area drive. The Fox & Hound is the first building. There is plenty of parking.
